Taming the laziest muscle in the whole body
So what is the laziest muscle in the whole body?
If you guessed the Glute then guess again.
The laziest muscle in the body is your MIND.
Not because it lacks power, but because we only utilise a small portion of the brain. This small portion seeks the path of least resistance, favouring comfort and familiarity over challenge and growth. Through this laziness we adopt and accept limiting beliefs and believe the false stories (illusions) that our minds create, keeping us trapped in patterns of fear, doubt, and self-sabotage, and stopping us from living in the NOW - the present moment.
You know the scenario: someone is rude to you on the street or in a shop, catching you off guard. Later, you replay that moment in five different ways, pondering what you should or could have said or done. You might berate yourself or even feel guilty, especially if you were the one who reacted rudely out of context.
To truly thrive and feel peace, love and joy, we must learn to master our minds— recognizing that many of the stories we tell ourselves are mere illusions of the little ego. By becoming conscious of our thought patterns and anchoring ourselves in the present, we can discern between helpful thoughts and those that hinder our progress. This mastery allows us to break free from mental constraints, empowering you and anchoring you in the true Ego. Through this, we embrace new possibilities and cultivate a more peaceful, loving, and blissful life. We can silence the endless mind chatter and experience stillness, clarity, and joy. Through this process, we create a space for healing and growth.
To cultivate a peaceful and clear mind, consider trying the following:
Meditate: Become aware of the stories your mind is creating, without getting swept away by them. i.e silent meditation
Practice Presence: Focus on being fully in the NOW. i.e mindful walking
Embody Your Experience: Work on becoming more attuned to your body. i.e Yoga Nidra
It is wonderful when the lazy mind is no longer in control and you consciously choose your reality. You will see how the spoken word (action) creates a reaction, your true reality.
