Gassho Meiso Technique
Gassho in Japanese means - two hands coming together in prayer,
Meiso in Japanese mean meditation.
Sit in a comfortable position, on a chair or on the floor, with your back straight. Bring your hands together in prayer position (palms and fingers facing) and hold them in front of your heart chakra. Breathe comfortably from the abdomen. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth during the Gassho meditation. On the inhale, place your tongue on the roof of your mouth just behind the front teeth. While exhaling, let your tongue drop to the bottom of your mouth.
Breathing this way stimulates major energy circuits in your body and rejuvenates your energy, calms the mind and aid in better focus.
Focus all of your attention on the point where the middle fingers touch and less on the breathe . It is natural that thoughts will appear the key is not to hold on to them or fight them but to let them pass by. When you do notice a thought just bring your attention back to your breathe and to where the middle fingers touch. If your able to and with time you can focus your attention on both your breathe and to where the middle fingers touch.
